The UGG® Australia story began in 1978, when Brian Smith, a young surfer from Australia, took a trip to the United States with a bag full of sheepskin boots. After finding a new home amongst California surfers, the UGG® Australia brand began to take shape.
Deckers Outdoor Corporation acquired UGG® Australia in 1995. By 1998, the product line had grown to include two boots, four slippers, and a few casuals. It was in 1998 that UGG® Australia brand first stepped up alongside the world's finest luxury footwear brands. UGG® Australia was positioned as a high-end luxury brand, made evident by a premium distribution strategy and high-end fashion marketing and communications.
The luxury and comfort of UGG® Australia proved to be a perfect fit for the high-end footwear world and soon Nordstrom had become the destination for UGG® Australia. The media reach expanded into more and more high-end magazine titles. The business continued to grow steadily as UGG® Australia reached beyond the beaches of California to New York City - and beyond.
In 2003, UGG® was named Footwear News' "Brand of the Year" and was responsible for the creation of an entirely new category of footwear. UGG® has also been featured on "Oprah's Favorite Things" five times since 2000, most recently in the Fall of 2010. Sheepskin footwear is seen on the runways in Milan, Paris and New York; and it all began on the beach in Australia.

Shipping Methods & Charges
Our standard shipping method is via UPS ground at a flat rate of $4.95. You should receive your merchandise within 3-5 business days from the day we successfully process your order. PLEASE NOTE: UPS will not deliver to P.O. Boxes.
APO, FPO, AE, CMR, other military and Puerto Rico addresses will ship via USPS only. A flat shipping charge of $4.95 will be applied to the order. APO/FPO orders may take 30-45 days for delivery.
For UPS 2-3 Business Day Air delivery, add an additional $9.00.
For UPS Next Business Day Air delivery, add an additional $18.00.
Express Shipping is available for in stock items ONLY. If multiple items are ordered, we will ship the in stock portion via the express service requested, and the balance via the express service as the items become available. APO, FPO, AE, CMR, other military and Puerto Rico addresses are not eligible for Express Shipping.
UPS Express orders must be successfully processed by 11:00 AM CST to be shipped the same business day. We do not ship on weekends. Next Day Air orders for in stock merchandise placed by 11:00 AM CST on Fridays will arrive the following Monday.
Shipping Outside the 48 Contiguous States
Journeys will ship to any U.S. destination serviced by UPS within the 48 contiguous states. Orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii require Express Delivery.
UPS EXCEPTIONS: APO, FPO, AE, CMR, other military and Puerto Rico addresses will ship via USPS only. A flat shipping charge of $4.95 will be applied to the order.
Puerto Rico orders can take 3-4 weeks for delivery.

returns and exchanges
We will gladly refund or exchange any unworn merchandise in its original packaging with receipt within 30 days. Please be sure to check the fit and comfort of the merchandise before wearing. You may return the unworn merchandise by either shipping it back to us in its original packaging accompanied by the original receipt, or by returning it to a retail store near you. Some orders cannot be returned to stores. Web exclusives or online purchases paid with a PayPal/Bill Me Later account cannot be returned to stores. For Online/Catalog Only Returns, please see the "direct from manufacturers/paypal & bill me later returns and exchanges" section below.
Shipping charges are not refundable. However, if you choose to exchange an item, you will not be charged additional shipping and handling. Exchanges will be sent UPS Ground. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your return to be received, processed and to appear on your credit card statement.
In the event you need to return your order (or a portion of your order), a prepaid UPS label has been included with your order. For quickest processing, please affix that prepaid label to the outside of the box for your return. If you do not have the prepaid label, be sure to send your return to the address below and include the return/exchange form provided with your order.

Journeys retail stores CANNOT accept items that shipped directly from the manufacturer or that were purchased using Bill Me Later or PayPal account. You may return these items in their original packaging by using the provided Return Shipping Label found in your order for an exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment. Shipping charges are not refundable. However, if you choose to exchange an item you will not be charged additional shipping and handling. Exchanges will be sent UPS Ground.
We guarantee all products against manufacturers' defects for 30 days. We reserve the right to determine whether merchandise is defective and to repair or replace defective merchandise if necessary. We will not accept returns on merchandise not in its original packaging.
