Dr. Martens 1460 Collection
The original Dr. Martens boots, the 1460, was originally produced with an eight-eyelet oxblood-colored, smooth leather design in the 1960's. By the end of the 70's Doc Martens boots had become synonymous with self-expression. In the 80's it became quite apparent for the need to customize Dr. Martens boots for women as many women were already buying and customizing their boots. In the 90's as Grunge music took over the airwaves, Dr. Martens became known for festival culture.
Docs saw a resurgence in the late aughts, one that has carried on through the 10's. The 1460 boots are once-again made in Dr. Martens Cobbs Lane factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire. There is no right or wrong way to wear the Doc Martens 1460 combat boots. Feel free to express yourself any way you want.
